PURCHASE CLASS PASSES<\/strong><\/p>\n

Advance Registration is required for every class and early registration is strongly recommended since classes fill up quickly. Bookings are completed online at the \u201cBook Now\u201d link listed under the time of every class on the schedule page, and honored on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you want to purchase a class pass, purchase it FIRST<\/strong> and then book your class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Class Cancellation Policy \u2013 Soul Star Studio<\/h2>\n

We value your commitment to your dance and wellness journey and strive to keep our classes running smoothly for everyone. Please review our cancellation policy below:<\/h2>\n

Group ClasseS<\/h3>\n

Advance Registration Required:<\/strong>\u00a0To ensure space, all group classes must be reserved in advance.\u00a0First\u00a0purchase your class pass and then click the \u201cBook Now\u201d button to reserve your spot in the classes you want to take. You can reserve classes many weeks in advance<\/p>\n

Cancellations:<\/strong>\u00a0You may cancel up to\u00a024 hours before class<\/strong>\u00a0without penalty.<\/p>\n

Late Cancellations\/No-Shows:<\/strong>\u00a0If you cancel within 24 hours of class start time or do not attend, the class credit will be forfeited.<\/p>\n

As an intimate, locally owned boutique studio, offering our students each a premium personalized experience, each space in our classes is truly special to us. We do our best to make sure every spot is filled with dancers ready to connect, grow, and share in the magic of our community.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

*All classes are subject to be cancelled or substituted. You will be refunded and not be charged a cancellation fee if a class is cancelled by the studio.<\/p>\n

\n

STUDIO POLICIES<\/b><\/p>\n

Arrive on Time
\n<\/b>\u00a0Be ready to start class on time. Arrive a few minutes early to allow time to sign in, change clothes etc. It\u2019s important to participate in the warm up and cool-down sections of class in order to not incur injure.\u00a0 If you arrive late, warm yourself up in the back of class and join class when ready. If you have to leave early, be sure to do some cool down stretches on your own as soon as you can.<\/p>\n

\n

Dress Code
\n<\/b>\u00a0Wear comfortable clothing that allows freedom of movement but does not inhibit instructor from seeing your movement.\u00a0 Please refrain from wearing heavy perfumes in class as it causes respiratory problems in some people. Also please observe good hygiene. We all perspire in class so please wear deodorant.<\/p>\n

\n

Classroom Etiquette<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Respect the space<\/strong>
Please honor your teacher, classmates, and class time by keeping conversations for before or after class. During class, let\u2019s stay fully present in the dance.<\/p>\n

Questions & missed classes<\/strong>
All technique and choreography questions should be directed to your instructor. If you miss a class, please make it up by attending another session within the series or scheduling a private lesson. (Private coaching is available at $150\/hr.) Kindly do not ask classmates to reteach missed material.<\/p>\n

Sharing insights<\/strong>
If you\u2019d like to offer input when another student asks a question, please check with the instructor first. Everyone\u2019s understanding may differ, and we want to ensure consistency with the techniques and philosophy being taught.<\/p>\n

Come prepared<\/strong>
Bring your notebook, hip scarf, and\u2014for intermediate classes\u2014zills and veil, so you\u2019re ready to dive in. Hip scarves and finger cymbals are also available for purchase at the studio.<\/p>\n

\n

Advancement
\n<\/b>Students advance to the next level once they accomplish the objectives of each level. All students must \u2018test out\u2019 to move to the next level. Once they test out they can join the next level at the start of the next new session<\/p>\n

\n

Performances
\n<\/b>The school offers an annual student recital shows in which all students may participate. Other performance opportunities are available to intermediate and higher dancers. Those who agree to participate in performance opportunities must be currently enrolled in class, must attend all rehearsals unless excused by the director & have the required costuming.<\/p>\n

\n

Intellectual property
\n<\/b>\u00a0Students understand that all choreographies & dance combos taught at the studio are the intellectual property of Carrie Konyha \/ Lotus School of Bellydance and may not be used outside of class or student performances without permission from the choreographer.<\/p>\n

\n

Termination
\n<\/b>\u00a0Students may be suspended or expelled from the school for disruptive behavior or non-payment of tuition in which case the student is still responsible for the debt. I reserve the right to dismiss students from class that are being disruptive, rude, intoxicated or otherwise causing disturbance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
